7 treatments for dry hair

Keeping dry hair under control is a problem that plagues many people. They ripple, knot, break or even fill with split ends. Dry hair can be due to a hereditary component, but also to insufficient care. If you have this problem, do not despair: in this article we present 7 treatments for dry hair.

Each hair originates from a hair follicle that is sprayed by the blood capillaries, through which the nutrients reach the hair, while the fat that lubricates them is produced by the sebaceous glands. The problem is that people often alter this balance without knowing it.

Treatments for dry hair

The outer layer of the hair,  the cuticle, undergoes erosions by the chemical treatments we apply on the head : plates, perms, dyes, etc. This is how the hair dries out and loses its shine. The capillary fat that covers them is eliminated by external abrasive agents. However, with the treatments that we propose in this article for dry hair you will be able to recover its natural brightness.

1. Argan oil

Argan oil for dry hair.
Applying olive oil with honey helps detangle and hydrate the hair. Because of this, it is believed to reduce the breakage of the tips.

This oil is obtained from the fruits of the argan tree dried in the sun and from which the seed is extracted which is then cold pressed. The result is an oil with a light golden color and a delicate smell, which is therefore also called “gold of the desert”.

Argan oil is one of the best treatments for dry hair because it helps them regain their shine and moisture.  You can apply it directly to the hair, in moderation.

2. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is another of the dry hair treatments we recommend. The saturated fats that compose it are an ideal nutrient to moisturize dry hair and restore the shine lost due to chemical agents and extreme temperatures. In addition, it stimulates their growth.

  • You can apply coconut oil together with the conditioner, after having passed the shampoo, or added to the creams before combing them. You can also apply it directly to the scalp if you suffer from chronic dryness.
  • Apply a small amount of coconut oil to your fingertips and gently massage your scalp.

Pressed and ground sesame seeds release a highly prized cosmetic oil that can be used as a home hair treatment.
