The best recipes for making homemade hand cream
Keep in mind that the creams proposed are intended for use on the body, not on the face, as they tend to be too oily for the skin and favor the appearance of pimples and imperfections.
1. Coconut moisturizer
If you love tropical and slightly sweet aromas for your creams, this recipe is for you. It combines three ingredients with a delicious aroma, very pleasant to the touch.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (30 g)
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa butter (15 g).
- 1 teaspoon of almond oil (5 ml).
Preparation
- In a container, pour 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of cocoa butter and heat in a double boiler for a couple of minutes, until the butter melts with the oil.
- Once the ingredients are liquid, add 4 or 5 drops of lemon essential oil and 1 teaspoon of almond oil.
- After mixing the ingredients, pour the liquid into a bottle or container.
- Finally, let the mixture cool, so that it becomes solid.
2. Homemade hand cream: moisturizing with almond oil
If you prefer a light and discreet aroma, the almond oil moisturizer is perfect for you. If you prefer, you can also add a few drops of lavender.
Ingredients
- Lavender flowers (15 g).
- 5 teaspoons of liquid petroleum jelly (25 ml).
- 15 teaspoons of cocoa butter (25 g).
- A cup of sweet almond oil (100 ml).
Preparation
- In a glass bowl, mix the sweet almond oil with the lavender flowers to create the base of the cream.
- Seal and let it rest in a bottle for two or three weeks, in a dark and cool place.
- Next, you will add the flowers.
- The oil will be stored separately, to facilitate integration with the other ingredients.
- When the macerated lavender is ready, both the vaseline and the cocoa butter will be placed in a container which you will then have to heat in a bain-marie.
- Once the ingredients have melted and at room temperature, add the lavender oil and mix for a few minutes with the help of a mixer.
- Once you have a homogeneous mixture, pour it into a container. The cream is then ready to be applied.
3. Moisturizing and regenerating cream
The moisturizing and regenerating cream is ideal for dry skin. To prepare it, you need three special ingredients: vitamin E capsules, cocoa butter and beeswax.
Ingredients
- 6 drops of vitamin E.
- Aloe vera gel (to taste).
- 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel (45 g).
- 2 tablespoons of beeswax (30 g).
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa butter (30 g).
- 3 tablespoons of sweet almond oil (45 ml).
Preparation
- Sweet almond oil, beeswax, cocoa butter and vitamin E drops will need to be poured into a container.
- Heat in a double boiler until the ingredients dissolve.
- Turn off the heat and wait for everything to solidify.
- With the blender, integrate the aloe vera gel with the other ingredients.
- Finally, pour in the 3 drops of aromatic essence until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
- Once the process is finished, you can start applying it.
4. Coconut and Lavender Moisturizer
The blend of coconut and lavender essential oil is truly exquisite. And it is not only pleasant, but also relaxing (thanks to the lavender). To prepare it, you just have to mix the two ingredients with a little bit of bee search.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (30 ml).
- 2 tablespoons of beeswax (30 g).
- 5 or 8 drops of lavender essential oil.
Preparation
- Pour the two teaspoons of coconut oil and beeswax into a bowl.
- After heating the ingredients and letting them melt, add 5 to 8 drops of lavender essential oil.
- Once the mixture is homogeneous, the liquid is poured into silicone molds.
- Wait for the cream to solidify to remove it from the mold.
5. Homemade cocoa and shea hand cream
The cocoa and shea cream has a delicious scent and is perfect for dry skin, as it is made up of ingredients that nourish and moisturize the skin and nails in depth.
- 1 tablespoon of shea butter (15 g)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa butter (30 g).
- 1 tablespoon of beeswax (15 g)
Preparation
- As in the previous recipe, melt the shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler.
- Once the ingredients have melted, add 5 to 8 drops of vanilla essence and pour the mixture into the molds.
- Once solidified, remove it from the molds and store in a cool place.
